An award-winning vocalist and musical theatre performer, Kumiko has received degrees in vocal performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She has premiered a number of new works for voice, and served as a member of the Grammy Award-winning San Francisco Symphony Chorus. Versed in a wide range of styles, Kumiko is the vocalist of Colour of Anyhow, where she explores her love of Canadian folk music and art song. Current projects include the premiere of “Radha in the Forest” a new work by composer Avril Akshaya Tucker which features Kumiko as both violinist and coloratura soprano.
